Elie Saab fall 2014 Haute Couture Runway

Elie Saab's haute couture show has been the one to watch for many many years, and this one certainly does not disappoint. Saab lined the back of the runway with chandeliers. The colors refracted in those chandeliers provided the palette: first blue, then pink, next blush, followed by black, white, and lavender. This collection boast Saab's love of pearls. Tahitian blue for a navy chiffon goddess dress; white pearls on a long-sleeve princess gown; champagne-colored ones for a strapless cocktail number in a neutral shade of pink. My favourite is the Bridal Gown finale. White on White, the ball gown style never gets old.

As a couturier myself, each gown amazes me. How many hours it took to make, how beautiful the fabric he chose and so many different techniques were used to create these work of art. The different layers of tulle, lace and organza give edgy look to the classic simple silhouette. Elie Saab inspire the modern bride who wants to look sexy but still classy and feminine.
